Did you know you have options for auto insurance in Manitoba?

It’s true! While you still need to register your vehicle with Manitoba Public Insurance for basic coverage, you can choose where to get your auto extension coverage from.

CAA offers private auto extensions that may help reduce your overall insurance cost while providing a reduced deductible, increased third-party liability, optional endorsements, and more comprehensive auto loss of use coverage.

CAA Deductible Options

In Manitoba, MPI charges a flat deductible amount for any physical damage suffered by a vehicle from a collision. All private passenger vehicles with basic plate insurance have a $750 deductible.

By purchasing extension coverage, you can choose to reduce your physical damage deductible amount (for collision and comprehensive) from MPI's basic standard deductible.

CAA Third Party Liability Options

In Manitoba, MPI provides basic third party liability insurance to all residents with a coverage limit of $500,000.

Increasing third party liability coverage provides additional liability protection in case you become legally responsible to someone else for property damage or bodily injuries you cause in an automobile accident.
You can increase your third party liability coverage by choosing one of the following extension options:
$1,00,000 - $2,000,000 - $3,000,000 - $4,000,000 - $5,000,000 - $10,000,000
